Introduction	I tend to consider myself politically independent. I have found my family's strong democratic beliefs a eye opening to how split our government is today. I learned in elementary school that 'We The People' are responsible for our future. So it seemed, but now all I see is a country printing debate after debate on B&W slates. I have become an independent because I believe focusing on the individuals ideals and experience is more crucial than a political debate on parties. This coming 2016 election will be my first voting opportunity, and I look forward to what the candidates have to offer. However, maybe I don't know as much knowledge as I'd like to. So I hope to fully contribute my decision this election day by grasping a more understanding of my countries politics. I scored 11/12 on Current Events quiz and 10/10 on Civic Literacy quiz!
