What kind of tape is best for creating a sculpture?
I say masking. Duct is good for wallet making, an art that I could never master as a miserable twelve-year-old. It involves patience and folding, resulting in planes and pockets of precisely layered steely sticky stuff. But masking, when ripped of the borders of freshly painted walls and flung off of fingers, ends up looking like parasites in love. Now that's the stuff of sculpture.
