| Introduction | Well, every two weeks a direct deposit is made into my checking account as compensation for working as media relations and writer for an Indianapolis hospital system. I like the work and the fact they pay me for it. My real passions are the roles I play where I derive my greatest wealth: Dad, granddad, boyfriend, son, sibling, friend and on and on. Yeah, I know -- those descriptions are dismally cliche and dripping with sappy sentimentality. I make no apologies for that. The Almighty and Mom Nature conspired to wire my DNA in such a way, thank you very much. |
