IntroductionI was originally trained as a High School Art Teacher fresh out from school myself and with much pressure from 'those that know better' to get a secure job in the early 80's. Attending the School of Art In Canberra doing a double major in Art and a single Major in English Lit. I later moved into the whole world of creative clothing and textile design being truer to my heart at the time and progressed onto becoming a fully qualified Milliner over an additional 4 year period (millinery - hand made hats). I consequently ran my own business "Brenda Grace Millinery' for many years doing so with much reward. As with lots of us personal marital circumstances lead me to a move into a corporate career in the 90's. This career whilst paying very well in reality demanded more and more of my time and for too many years! I became quite sidetracked and strayed from my true passion - my artistic soul. I am now back to that place of being truer to myself and am so yearning to find my place in this most divine world of creativity in the years to come. At the present moment I am loving being able to explore anything my little heart desires.
InterestsI am absoluting in love with the whole world of the mixed media artist. Such freedom to explore and create resonates so well with me at this point in my life. Additionally I am always tinkering on a restoration or renovation somewhere to keep my hand in on skills I learnt a long time ago that allows me the freedom to otherwise play.
Favorite moviesAnything with lots of costumes, colour, and surprising story lines.
Favorite musicWide and varied - I promise to some day answer this one with much thought :)
Favorite booksPicture books I am afraid - everything that shows me what I could be doing and what playtime I could be having. Mostly of course art books! Jewellery to paintings to dolls to photography to hats to sewing and the list goes on.
