Introduction	As Reader Development Officer for Devon Libraries I work with staff in our 50 branches to help readers get most out of their reading. I'm currently helping staff in Exeter Central, Buckfastleigh, Ilfracombe and Kingsbridge libraries in shadowing the Orange Prize for Fiction 2009. The posters are up, the books are starting to arrive, and I've set myself the challenge of reading - well, a good many of them!
