| Introduction | I went to a book swap party (with wine!) last week. A small crowd of people gathered while I was talking about a book I'd just read - they were writing down titles and authors. One said, "Karen, you should write book reviews." It sounded like a splendid idea, so I've started this blog - Back Cover Book Reviews. If you're a writer, send me your book and I'll review it for you. If you're a reader, let me know what you're reading - maybe I'll review that as well. Whatever the case, I hope you find the blog interesting and useful. |
| Interests | Writing, Bridge, Mysteries, Travel, Birds, Quilts, Romance Books, Reading, Western Set Historical novels |
| Favorite movies | Tough to choose. I like The Usual Suspects, of course. Anything with Hercule Poirot, and Harry Potter - all of them! But, I also like the newest Star Trek movie, Shrek, Shakespeare in Love - I'm fairly eclectic in movie choices. |
| Favorite music | Anything but twangy old-timey CW. |
| Favorite books | Mysteries, of course! |
Sponges and tongues are frequently misspelled. Is it because both are thirsty?
Interesting question. Sponges are sea creatures, at least real ones are. And creatures have tongues. Maybe that's the connection. Or, we are too dependent on Spell Check.
