Introduction | Originally from the midwest, we now thoroughly embrace the West! Happily married since 2005, my wife Rachel and I enjoy every moment spent together. With our boys Caleb and Jonah, we strive to celebrate life! Spending time together as a family is full and fulfilling, especially when we are joined by our pal (dog) Sasha. From July 2007 to June 2011 I served as rabbi and director of education at Temple Chai in Phoenix. In July 2011, we moved to the South Lake Tahoe area to serve as rabbi to Temple Bat Yam (www.tbytahoe.org) and work with the Adventure Rabbi: Synagogue w/o Walls community based in Boulder, CO (www.adventurerabbi.org). In 2017, I began to serve North Tahoe Hebrew Congregation as well and had the opportunity to inivite a student rabbi to join us once a month to serve the needs of both Tahoe congregations. As a rabbi, I enjoy my work of partnering with people in our community to celebrate the gifts we share with one another. Outside of the walls of the synagogue, I take to the roads on my road bike, the trails for mt. biking, hiking and always hoping for good snow...often some of the best places to think and share ideas with great friends. |
