| Introduction | Dr. Patricia Sohn (formerly Patricia J. Woods) is an associate professor at a major state university in the American South. She grew up on a farm reading classics of American, British, and Russian literature; playing classical piano; and training her part-Arabian horse. She began her university studies as a concert piano major (by audition), moved to music education, and then to the studies of Religion and Politics, respectively. Her research specialization is the intersection of courts, religion, and gender politics in the modern Middle East. She has some classical vocal training and sings 1st and 2nd Alto, as well as a standard Mezzo range. She currently lives in Waldo, Florida with her husband and their Appaloosa horse; Rouen ducks; and two dogs, one part-Beagle and one part-Chihuahua. All rights to the ideas, concepts, story lines, original music linked in the musicals, and the stories themselves are reserved by the author. Some musicals include covers of pop and rock songs, now classics, by other people and popular bands; all efforts are made to cite those works and authors/song-writers appropriately. |
