| Introduction | Hi, I'm Margarida and I live in beautiful Homer, Alaska. I reside and cook in an upstairs condo with my husband, Doug. We have an amazing view of Kachemak Bay and I can almost point to the exact spot where the salmon that's on my grill came from. My daughter Jackie and son- in-law Aaron and grandson Carter live downstairs and they love to cook as much as I do. We often bring new dishes up and down the stairs to each other for sampling. We also love to cook together and collaborate on meals, those are always the best. I love using seasonal, local ingredients. I feel so fortunate to have fantastic fresh fish literally in my backyard and an abundant Farmer's Market in the summer. But nothing tops off a healthy meal like a beautiful dessert...and I've never met a carb I didn't like! Baking is my true cooking passion and there's nothing sweeter than the joy on Carter's face as I pull a fragrant Rhubarb Crisp out of the oven. |
