Introduction | I have come to understand, rather recently, that I am, and always was, "different" in a number of ways. Indeed, I see now I have come from a "different" sort of family, on both sides, where there could be said to be certain eccentricities and some unusual, but very creative and interesting, ways of going about life. Also solidly in my genes is a tendency to have fairly strong opinions on many things, and an enthusiasm for sharing these opinions quite freely. A blog seemed just the thing! My arguments, though logical, and coming from keen interest and enough knowledge to make them worth consideration, I think, usually fail to make any impact whatever on most people around me. (I am apparently not surrounded by the right sort of people). I decline to apologize for my views or my words - though I do try hard not to hurt anyone within the sound of my voice. Though a number of people may disagree, even in my own family (especially in my own family) I think difference is a GOOD thing, not a condition to be cured or changed. I see people's differences as interesting and positive attributes. So, as long as my different drummer keeps it up, I am marching. And writing about it. |
Interests | Almost everything and everyone, to be honest. If I don't know about something, I pretty much want to find out. |
Favorite Movies | Who has time or money for movies? |
Favorite Music | Most of it. Classical, jazz, blues, world beat, R&B, old rock 'n roll...music is in me. And I DID always want to be a drummer. |
Favorite Books | Too many to list - you could look me up on LibraryThing if you MUST know. |
Your people want to make a statue in your honor. What will it be made out of and what victory will it commemorate?
?? Victory?! Surely you jest! I snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. Oh no - no statue for this statuesque humdrummer.
