| Introduction | Kevin Corner is principal at Cross Middle School in the Amphitheater Unified School District. He is currently focused on highly effective collaborative team practices, preparing students for the demands of the 21st Century through innovative teaching and learning practices, and using student achievement data as leverage for mindful change and improvement in schools. He is focused on 21st Century classrooms and instruction in order to meet the educational demands we will face in the next century and is working on developing a model 21st Century classroom at Cross. Mr. Corner is a 2001 recipient of the Milken Family Foundation National Educator Award, a State Teacher of the Year Ambassador of Excellence for Arizona in 2002, and was selected as the University of Arizona / Circle K High School Teacher of the Year for 2001-2002. Currently Mr. Corner has completed his coursework in the Educational Leadership doctoral program at the University of Arizona and is working on his dissertation in the area of authentic leadership and psychological capital. |
