| Introduction | I’m from Boston and now I live in SF with my husband and twin boys. I graduated from Yale in 1997 and after school I moved to NYC. I worked at a consulting firm called MMG until the lure of the dot com couldn't be resisted and I headed over to kozmo.com as employee number 20. I did everything from building ops processes to enabling gifting functionality. In 2001 I moved to SF as the Ops Mgr for the market – within a month, kozmo was closed! I got a job at Williams-Sonoma HQ. I began in Inv. Mngmt. and eventually moved to Buying. I joined a soccer team and that's where I met Richard and he ended up introducing me to my husband, Chris! After 4 years with WS I took a job as a Dir. of Planning for bebe. In 2006 I was ready to strike out on my own. I saw an opportunity for an eco-friendly dry cleaner in SOMA and started Pressed Cleaners. I needed a counter and a sign. Richard did an amazing job of fulfilling my exact vision. After a year in business with great success, it was too much to handle newborns and a demanding business, so we sold Pressed (on Craigslist!). Pretty soon I was ready to go back to work. My husband and I met up with Richard one night and hubbardfoss was born. |
