When your science teacher smashed a frozen rose with a hammer, did you warm the petals to bring them back to life?
I collected the petals and held them close to my teenage bosom. The warmth from my heart thawed them and turned them into doves. The doves flew away into the freedom of the stratosphere. In a dream, I saw them perched on the rings of Saturn, singing to the heavens.
