| Introduction | My wife is the first and only woman I've ever loved. We met in 1999 at the University of Florida and graduated together in the Spring of '02. Since then, we've settled down, figured out what to do next, gotten our Master's degrees (hers in education and mine in social work), gotten real jobs, and bought our first home together. We didn't come out to our family and friends until January 2009. Yes, you read that right! In October 2008, we resurrected our buried dream of becoming parents, and we began the quest for conception. Our beautiful daughter was conceived on our anniversary and born April 2013. My wife is half Chinese, half Irish. I'm just the white girl in the background who took her Asian last name. |
