Introduction I have been running (seriously) since 2003. I was an athlete growing up but became very unhealthy (by my standards) in college.

I wanted to change things up so I started out running along the Potomac River in Washington DC. I would throw on my headphones and go for a short jog, about 1-2 miles. I slowly up'd my mileage out of curiosity about what was farther down the river trail. Then it started to become a challenge of how far could I make it. Soon I was covering 4-6 miles. I moved back home to San Francisco and continued running. I gradually increased the distance I was covering until I was running 6 miles/day, 4-6 days/wk with one long run of +/- 10 miles/wk.

Finally I decided to try a marathon, something a few years earlier I swore I would never do... So I signed up for the San Francisco Marathon in 2005. I was hooked on running.

Marathons I've run: San Francisco (full and half), Boston, San Diego, Oakland Half, Big Sur, Lake Tahoe Half, American River 50 Miler, Woodside 17km Trail Run, Quicksilver 25KM, Tahoe Rim Trail 165 Mile Thru-Hike...
