Introduction	Languages have always been interesting to me, but I have a particular fondness of the English language. Through it I have enjoyed a rewarding career working with learners of English at the college level. I have also been inspired by my father to take up reading and writing poetry, although I cannot claim to have achieved much in the latter. Presently, I live in Hsinchu, Taiwan with my wife and twin sons, but my heart always remains in Texas.
