Introduction	Novella Nikwigize is a social scientist by training, a communicator by experience and a panafricanist by calling. After her Bachelor in Sociology from Sorbonne Paris IV University, a Masters in Gender and with the aspiration to contribute to accelerating the development path of Africa, Novella has worked in different countries, particularly Burundi, Rwanda and Central African Republic and has operated in close to 20 countries in Africa, Europe and the US. An eclectic professional, she has worked as a University lecturer, TV show presenter, event facilitator and panel moderator across the continent, as well as working on development issues in Africa, in various capacities, as a consultant, in NGOs and within the UN system. As she analyzes the society, especially the African society surrounding her, she shares some highlights of the debut of her social analysis of the continent, one social encounter at the time.
