| Introduction | I was born in a small port town in Michigan across the river from an oil refinery. It always smelled of rotten eggs and there was fire atop the smokestacks, which as a kid is a bit wierd. I mean, everyone just accepted that there was fire in the sky and went on with whatever the hell they did. I never said anything but I wish I did. As soon as I had an idea of what was going on, I wanted to be in New York. After college, I moved there and lived all around town for the next eight years trying way too hard to be cool. Thereafter, after moving to LA and failing at my first marriage, I remarried, started a family and moved to the crappiest place ever: the San Fernando Valley. I think there are worse places but I have no interest in finding them. 13 years later, I found a gig in Vermont so we moved to New Hampshire. It ain't bad. |
