IntroductionWhat defines me as me? I think I'm s'posed to say something rather profound here? Am I? Well: if you're not going forward in life, you're going back? Good enough?! I say: Expect the best BUT (capitalized for a certain someone :-)) prepare for the worst… Job Done!
InterestsBikes. Fast Cars. Technology. NEW Interest: Photography.
Favorite moviesThe Beach (love it), Tears of the Sun, Blood Diamonds, We Were Soldiers, Fast and Furious (yea yea, I know ;-), Any decent action film I’ll enjoy. I like to be entertained. But not the Titanic ok…
Favorite musicDepends how I feel? From country to pop, trance & rave but not rap – oh no...
Favorite booksIm mostly a magazine reader – technical type stuff such as computer hardware & technology dev’s, photography tips & techniques and, as most of you may know and would expect, modified car mags (the tasteful stuff of course, yep! And the odd lads mag thrown in, such as Nuts, and Zoo, as you do! (not THAT kinda lads mag!!! Gosh people – Im a married man!!! Haha… I do think for a book to qualify as a fav for me, I would have to have read it twice with the intention of reading it again in the near future. If that is the criterior, I then have 3 all time fav’s: 1st HAS to be one of my first ‘proper’ reads, not the stuff school makes you read! That will go to ‘The Leopard Hunts In Darkness’ by Wilbur Smith. Im sure all Rhodies and Zimbo’s will have read this one, or at least heard of it! Very brutal, hard hitting ‘novel’ of Zim’s dark past… 2nd is for Tom Clancy’s ‘Without Remorse’. I love this book, so many elements & directions taken. A very well put together bit of paper and type. 3rd to Gerald Seymore’s ‘Holding The Zero’. A civilian Marksman goes off to Afghan to help out one of his childhood mates whose village and area are feeling the inhospitable weight of the Russians. For ‘casual’ browsing (when I have a few free minutes) I enjoy flicking through my ‘coffee table’ books. A4 hardbacks consisting mostly of paintings, sketches and photos of African Landscapes & her flora & fauna. One such title being ‘African Seasons – Wildlife at a Waterhole’ (only problem is these types of books make me homesick – bugger huh.)
