| Introduction | Hi, I'm new to blogging so please bear with me! I'm a 34 year old mother of three beautiful girls, soon to be celebrating 2 years of freedom from my abusive ex husband. I decided to give blogging a go to share my highs and lows as a single parent and because I want to help raise awareness of Domestic Violence/Abuse (DV). I will refer to my girls by their 'nicknames' as babies/toddlers as follows: my eldest (7 years old) is Honey Bee, DD2 (3 years) is Sweet Pea and my youngest (2 years) is Missy Moo. My abusive ex husband is a former Police Officer and he is using the family court system to continue the (emotional/psychological) abuse. Our case is ongoing so I will update when there is any news. I have experience of involvement of social services as my girls were at one point on the Child Protection Register due to my ex's behaviour. I hope I don't bore you - maybe this blog will form some kind of therapy for me too! |
