| Introduction | Since the late 80's, I've spent countless hours outdoors. Hours spent hiking, fishing, camping, exploring, but most importantly HUNTING! I never had a problem doing any of the previously mentioned activities alone even at a very young age. However, once I obtained my driver's licence I began to enjoy the company of as many friends as my Ford Ranger would hold. Realizing the woods was a better place for a teenage boy than town, my dad and papaw built my brother and I a perfect little cabin right in the middle of the hardwoods of Whitesand Creek. The lumber for the cabin was salvaged from my great grandmothers old home place. It was a really cool place tucked away in the middle of no where. I don't remember exactly who it was but one of the guys appropriately named it "The Buff Pad". Why, you might ask. Well, Buff was a nickname that my mom gave me as a child and well, it's stuck ever since. The Buff Pad was a place where stories were told, memories where made and friendships were forged for life. Can a blog provide that much enrichment? Nope! But for those who care to visit and read from time to time...welcome! |
