| Introduction | I have been an avid racing fan since I was 5 years old. Used to be mostly into NASCAR, but when I saw my first short track race (the former NASCAR Goodys Dash Series at Orange County Speedway in 1998) I became hooked on short track racing. I have traveled to several short tracks in the last 10 years and have seen many different racing series compete. During college I was introduced to Texas HoldEm and played occasionally with friends. After I graduated and got a full time job I was looking around for things to do on weeknights when a friend told me about free Texas HoldEm tournaments at bars. In August 2005 I played my first tournament and won! I have been hooked ever since and I play 2-3 times a week in hopes to win a seat into a major tournament in Atlantic City or Las Vegas. Professionally, I work with computers and maintain databases on a daily basis. At a young age I explored various Microsoft Office products, especially Excel and Access, and created spreadsheets and databases for things such as my die cast race car collection. I used some of that knowledge to learn more during high school and then majored in Computer Science and Information Systems in college. |
