| Introduction | The world doesn't stop moving just because you do... Just when think you’re invincible, convinced, "it could never happen to me", it does. I found myself to be no exception after my neurologist diagnosed me with Multiple Sclerosis, a chronic and often physically disabling disorder that attacks the central nervous system. In that moment I realized that life as I know it would forever change. Faced with the prognosis of possible disability within ten years, I decided, neither the disease nor the diagnosis would dictate my way of life. When forced to perceive that life as you know it could cease to exist without warning, what do you do? For me, the answer was simple...live life to the fullest! |
