| Introduction | I am a wife, mother of 16 children, and a full-time advocate for foster youth. I understand at risk youth, the design of the child welfare system, the glaring disproportionality in the juvenile justice and child welfare systems, and the enormous gaps in service. My ambitious nature has allowed me to become a change agent. My philosophy is – doing the right thing is rarely popular or simplistic, I am not attempting to win a popularity contests rather; I seek social and economic justice. |
