| Introduction | RJ got his fitness start in 1999 while on active duty in the United States Air Force. It was then when RJ began to foster his passion for working out. During the first half of his military career RJ spent most of his free time reading fitness literature. In the winter of 2001 RJ got stationed in the United Kingdom. Others in RJ’s new squadron knew him as the guy who hit the gym before work and showed up early to work so he could make some concoction in a blender before his work day started. Eventually co-workers began asking RJ fitness and exercise questions. Before long RJ was the unofficial “Squadron Fitness Guru”. He continued as the unofficial sports & fitness guru until March 2004 when his enlistment ended honorably. After returning to Fredericksburg, Virginia RJ received his certification as a Personal Trainer and Nutrition Consultant. Using this fitness knowledge, RJ finished 3rd in his first power lifting competition, the raw push/pull category at the 2004 Amateur Athletic Union World Bench Press, Deadlift and Push/Pull Championships in Richmond, Va. RJ wants to share his 11 years of experience with those who are ready the first step toward a healthy, fit lifestyle. |
You've been entered in a shadow puppet contest. What's your best pose?
My best shadow puppet pose is the dog. Probably because it's the easiest to make. I make one mean dog shadow puppet.
