| Introduction | My name is Scott L. Turner, and I am the author of this blog. Over nearly 25 years I have acquired extensive experience in the trucking industry of being an owner-operator of an 18 wheeler for a few years in the mid-1980's, to becoming a leading figure in the Commercial Motor Vehicle (CMV) crash and recovery related field, of which many were complicated with HazMat related cargo. In addition, I am trained as an FMCSA Level I-V Truck Inspector, Motorcoach Inspector and 11 years as a Specialist Instructor for the New Jersey State Police regarding cargo-tank truck response and investigation, and truck crash with HazMat response, inspections and investigations. In my nearly 25 professional years I have personally responded to in-excess of 1,000 CMV (truck) crashes and 200 cargo-tank crashes. In addition, I have presided over some of North America's worst train derailments, chemical plant fires/explosions, and jet crashes. I currently serve as an expert witness for CMV (truck) related crashes and CMV loading/off-loading events, as well as Motorcoach cases serving both plaintiff and defense counsel throughout the United States. |
