| Introduction | I'm tall, I love food, I like things clean, I watch football and I can eat an entire watermelon in one sitting. I created this blog to share my love of food with whomever wants to listen. I have been cooking since my sister accidentally fed me wall plaster as a teen and I realized it would probably be smart to learn how to cook a few things myself. I've been hooked ever since, attending culinary school and working as a chef for the past 5 years. Over the years my style has evolved to a place where I try to celebrate the seasons and cook delicious food from ingredients I can find locally. This doesn't mean you won't catch me in a supermarket, believe me, I will never be able to give up ritz, and Trader Joe's is one of my best friends. I simply try to limit the produce I buy there, especially living in LA, where the seasons don't follow guidelines and you can find fresh raspberries in march and asparagus in september. My blog includes rants on food topics, recipes using locally purchased ingredients and other thoughts from my cynical foodie mind. I hope you enjoy my musings. |
