| Introduction | Born (July 1959) in a humble family in village Teldiha in then Bhagalpur district of Bihar, Prof Jha is a leading scholar in the field of Politics, International Relations and South Asian Studies. A twice Fulbrighter, Prof Jha has authored / edited 10 books and more than 75 research papers. An Adjunct Professor at the Department of Geopolitics at Manipal University, Manipal, Prof Jha has inherited knowledge of Sanskrit, Astrology and Indian Philosophy from his fater late Pt. Shri Shyama Kant ji Jha. He has one daughter and two sons. Daughter, Dr Nivedita, is doing Master of Surgery in Gynecology at JIPMER, Pondicherry, and a medical graduate and her husband, Dr Ajay Jha has completed MD from PGI, Chandigarh. His elder son, Mr. Saurabh Kumar Jha is a Software Engineer at Fidelity Management Research in Bangalore and wife, Mrs Mona Jha, is also a Software Engineer in the same city and the younger son, Mr. Gaurav Kumar Jha, has completed his M A in Developmental Studies at Central University of Bihar. |
