Introduction	Although I've never been more than an arm's length from some creative endevour or other, I only started painting just over 3 years ago. If painting has become my passion, then painting the human figure has become my obsession. Someone recently told me I should try landscapes. My reaction was a bewildered "Why?" Though I can become absorbed totally in a beautiful landscape, the thought of painting one for more than an hour with no one in it seems abysmally dull. But, never say never - I may attempt some in the future to stretch myself. I also baffle many devoted oil painters with my choice of acrylic paint and mixed media. I'm a little like Veruca Salt: I want it now, Daddy! I haven't the patience or the nose for oil. Plus, I have two Siamese cats. One has taught himself how to climb my easel. Which leads us to the obvious conclusion that, if my paint didn't dry quickly, I would probably only have one cat.
