| Introduction | I lived in Brazil for over 40 years. Went to school, learnt their costumes, use to go to a lot of balls, spent my nights dancing, start playing organ and piano and when I thought I'll be a musician, created an electronic industry which was sold in 1990, before coming to the United States. Here, after a few other jobs, started to work in a hospital as a maintenance engineer, when (I don't know why) start writing poems... Enrolled at the "International Society of Poetry" where I was published and awarded. When I tried to read something interesting and funny in Portuguese, to keep up with the language, couldn't find anything... Then, start writing myself. Portuguese language is funny, irreverent, hopeful, like most of people themselves are, over there. In this blog you'll find a light, unpretentious lecturette, many times funny, usually attempting to bring a little bit of the country and it's people. But, don't be discouraged; there is a lot of posts in English as well and, of course, you can always use the "translate" engine provided, to read in other languages. |
