For the first 30 years of my life I struggled to escape the prison of a small town in the Valley of Wailing nested at the feet of a rocky, three peaked mountain covered in eternal snow; for the next 30 years of my life I circled the world seeking the most exotic of destinations, until I reached a valley at the feet of a modest three peaked mountain in a far-far-Eastern country, and received a small clue from a man with round face and lively squinted eyes; I spent the last 30 years of my life making the way back to my hometown, hoping that the secret I was looking for, will be at last revealed; and with my last breath I reached for the first time the peak of that bare, hostile mountain. You don't need to go anywhere. You never left home. |
