| Introduction | My wife, Thanh Ha, and I live in Crockett,CA. The last town in the East Bay before heading into the Napa Valley. It’s a sleepy quiet little town, very affordable. Our home has an inviting feel to it. In 2008 my novella "Cherry's Last Trick" was chosen as a semi-finalist for The Faulkner-Wisdom award and a finalist for The Quarterly West Literary Journal's Novella competition. The cancer diagnosis was an astonishing blow. I had a heart attack in ’08 and dropped some weight, changed some of the ways I was eating and started walking every day. “It doesn’t even look like you’ve had a heart attack.” Was what my Cardiologist said a few months ago. But this? A diagnosis, is what it is, a fact, but a prognosis is a variable; an opinionated set of predictions. Inside ourselves we have the answers. Our minds are the greatest resource for healing. It is possible to tap and enlist our mind and make it a part of our team. In this blog I’ll introduce the people and the methods that are helping me to release these tumors; my team, and continue with my life. |
