| Introduction | My name is Madeleine, I'm often called Maddy (by family and old friends), Mom and Ma (by my daughters), Grandma and Mamaw (by 11 grandkids), and a pet name my husband has for me that I might share after I get to know you much better. I was pretty active and worked outside the home on and off while my girls were in school. I had a variety of jobs, no career, and considered myself a Jack of Many Trades, Master of None. In 2007, I found myself hospitalized with a serious blood clot in my right lung; this along with other ongoing respiratory illnesses made the use of 24/7 oxygen a necessity and brought about some profound changes in our family. |
| Interests | Knitting, crochet, bead crochet, vintage patterns and tools, reading which includes print, audiobooks, and e-books, cooking - I love trying new recipes. |

| Favorite music | I have very eclectic taste in music that ranges from bluegrass banjo to classical. I do take exception to any music that, thru its lyrics, promotes violence. |
| Favorite books | I enjoy psychological thrillers, good mysteries, an occasional kitchy love story. Most of all, for comfort and help, I read my Bible every day. |
