| Introduction | After 25 years as a teacher, I still have a passion and enthusiasm for enabling learners to achieve their best. I have held the post of classsroom practitioner in every year group from reception to Year 9. Mentored NQT's, lead departments, devised syllabuses and created new curricular. I have held leadership positions and been responsible for stretching the most able. But, without doubt, the most rewarding experience in my career presented itself when mobile technology was available in the education sector. Having created and implemented a 1:2:1 iPad project which redefined and re shaped how I, my colleagues, the learners and wider stake holders viewed the possibilities of utilising the iPad as a tool for learning. Informed, responsible and connected learners became a reality. Changing pedagogy and attitudes completely whilst enabling technology to work positively in supporting all learners in their pursuit to achieve their ambitions. |
