| Introduction | As a child I remember packing up the family station wagon and camper and heading out across the California deserts to explore what lay beyond. In the days before car air conditioning and DVDs, we rolled down the windows and mom read us old WPA guide books from the library. We listened to scratchy local radio stations and played lots of I Spy and license plate games. Since then, my love of people, cultures and travel has only continued to expand. On a grey and wintry day, you might just find me browsing in the travel section of a local bookstore. |
