Introduction Dr Merrill graduated from South Fork High school in 1955 and the University of California at Berkeley in 1959. When Dr Merrill graduated from the University of Southern California Medial School in 1963, he became the first graduate from South Fork High School to become a MD. Dr Merrill performed his Urology Residency under the late Don Crevy at the University Of Minnesota Health Sciences Center in Minneapolis. Dr Merrill subsequently performed a NIH special fellowship in Urology at the University of Minnesota and then joined the staff of the Urology department at that institution. In 1973 Dr Merrill was recruited by the University of California at Davis to administer their Urology training program at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Martinez California. Dr Merrill served as Chief of Urology in that institution until its closure in 1991.Dr. Merrill retired in 2000 and has spent his retirement writing books and making wine from the grapes he grows on his Alhambra valley Ranch property.
