| Introduction | Graeden Horsell is an advocate and media commentator. He was Founder and Leader of the School Governance Alliance in South Australia, which was an education advocacy group representing the interests of state school governing councilors. He was President of the South Australian Association of State School Organisations (SAASSO); President National Organisation of School Council Organisations (NOSCA) – representing state bodies in South Australia, Victoria, Queensland and with an international partnership with the New Zealand School Trustees Association); and Deputy Presiding Member of the Senior Secondary Assessment Board of South Australia (SSABSA). He was Chairperson Secondary School Governing Council (5 Years); Chairperson Primary School Council (8 years); and Chairperson Childcare Management Committee (4 Years). He worked for nearly 20 years with the SA Department of Education as Manager Organisational Change; Principal Policy Officer Performance Management; Senior Strategic Planning Adviser; and finally Principal Policy Officer Governance and Community Capacity Building. |
