| Introduction | Adli Rizkallah, is the first painter in Egypt to dedicate his life to painting and art. He was born in Assiout in 1939, and studied Graphic Arts at the Faculty of Fine Arts in Cairo. Rizkallah made unprecedented discoveries in the use and techniques of watercolors, the only medium he has used throughout his career. In 1971, he left to France, where he had an important number of exhibitions and taught at Strasbourg University. Ten years later, Rizkallah was back to Egypt and he lives today between Cairo and Alexandria (King Mariout), where he has his Atelier. He exhibits regularly in the Middle East and Europe and has a significant number of publications including his books for children, Autobiography Vol.1 & 2, and a series of articles on art. |
