| Introduction | I am a writer, author, motivational speaker, columnist, former talk radio show host, and personal coach to facilitate men and women in finding their voice. My book, NICE GIRLS DON'T GET RAPED, written under Jennifer Botkin Maher, Here's Life publishers, is my story of being a rape survivor. My column, "A Slice of Life," has appeared in the Rockland Review, Rockland County, NY, for ten years. My more recent column; "Top Blonde… on the run!” is published bi-monthly in the award winning Pascack Valley newspaper, Community Life. Encouraging people, laughing, spending time with my family and friends and my nearly nine-month-old grandson, and making personalized greeting cards, all bring me joy. My daughter, Aimee, says she wants me to write down all my experiences in a book so she can laugh at my antics at will. My experiences have taught me that having a voice and speaking from a position of strength can transform your life. I keep busy writing my columns, updating my blog, and working on a second book on the topic of speaking up for yourself. |

Lesa is an Deputy Juvenile Probation Oficer 6th JD, for the city of Livingston, and Aimee lives and works in Helena, the capital. Reading, crafts, baking, photography, bird watching, being outdoors, and visiting my daughters and grown grandsons in Montana, one stationed at Ft. Carson, CO very soon, and holding my new grandson, Finn Nicholas, born September 30, 2008, brings special delight to my heart. |
