| Introduction | I graduated with honors from Greenville High. I continued my education at Concordia College in Ann Arbor. I finished my BA with a major in Education, and Minors in English and Social Science. I went to teach 4-6 grades in Liberal, Kansas. This was a new school and had only math and reading books. The rest of the curriculum was on my own. My next year I moved to Roger City, Michigan for a one year call. I taught 4-8 grade science and gym. Then had a homeroom of 6-7 grade students, in which I taught English, Religion, and Reading. I coached the girl’s and boy’s basketball teams and the girl’s volleyball team. I took a call to Mt. Calvary in Allen Park. There, I taught all day Kindergarten and started the preschool, with my kindergarten class, and before and after school programs. I also was the girl’s basketball and volleyball coach. In Ionia, I taught 3-4 grades all subjects my first year. The second year I taught Kindergarten in the morning and then in the afternoon I taught 3-4 reading and math. The last year I taught kindergarten all day. Now I am here in Bay City teaching kindergarten for 11 years. I enjoy crafts, sports, and children. |
