About me

Location San Diego Area (East County), California, United States
Introduction I have had dogs all my life. I grew up on three acres with all sorts of animals from dogs, cats, goats and horses. I didn't get serious about dog training and canine behavior until I got my first hearing dog in 1987. From there I learned everything I could. I obtained a Bachelor's degree in Zoology, an Associate degree in Animal Health Technology, a post-baccalaureate certificate public speaking in Natural Resources and a teaching credential in the biological sciences. My work history includes working for several veterinary hospitals, a 104 dog kennel facility, and a dog grooming facility. I also was fortnate to work for the U. S. Fish and Wildlife Service and the National Park Service. I have worked with and around a wide variety of not only domestic animals but wildlife as well. I have also worked for both PetsMart and PetCo, taught dog classes and have consulted several people on various topics related to assistance dogs (hearing and service dogs). Currently, I started Coaching Creative Canines to do what I love, working with people and connecting them to their dogs. I love to teach, I love the outdoors and I love dogs.
