| Introduction | My name is Hans J. Buitendijk. I graduated from the University of Technology, Eindhoven, The Netherlands with an M.Sc. in Management Science and Industrial Engineering. For the past 25+ years I have been working in the healthcare IT space as a systems analyst, data modeler, systems integrator, strategic planner, standards developer, and consultant. Currently I’m the Standards & Regulations Manager at Siemens Healthcare Health Services, while serving on the Board of Directors of HL7 International as the Treasurer as well holding a co-chair position with both the Orders & Observations Work Group and the Clinical Statement Work Group.
