| Introduction | I am a graduate student in Library and Information Science at Wayne State University, Detroit Michigan. I've worked as a computer trainer since 1990, however, my education is not technical. I have a BA in English, and an associates degree in Fine Arts. I enjoy technology, but do what I do because I love being around learning. I teach standard applications like Excel, Word, and PowerPoint in corporate and government organizations. A few years ago I turned 50 and decided it was the perfect time to revinvent myself. I really don't want to teach Excel for another 20 years. But I love to teach, and more and more libraries are providing the teaching and training people need. I am primarily interested in academic libraries and information literacy, and I am especially interested in the ways Second Life can be used for education, business, or just to connect. |
