Introduction	I began writing as a child. Early on it was mostly poetry and short stories, but by the time I was a teenager I was pulled towards writing screenplays. In my twenties I spent some time studying creative writing and continued working on my poetry, some of which was published at the time. In addition to that I spent many years studying acting and taking voice lessons, which lead to extensive experience in all aspects of Community Theater. Since then, I have self-published several books and have also become an active blogger in addition to continued focus on screenwriting. Although I have been writing most of my life, it never quite registered with me as something out of the ordinary or worth pursuing, because it was so closely connected to who I was. Instead, I focused on my singing and acting because the draw to this industry has always been there. In the end I realized that I never quite enjoyed ‘being in’ the story as much as I enjoyed ‘telling’ the story. I’m not a writer because it’s the only thing I’m good at, or it’s the only thing I know how to do…I’m a writer because it’s the only thing I don’t know how NOT to do.
