| Introduction | This blog is a place for me to rant and rave about the Red Wings. I was born and raised in Toronto, but never felt a connection to the Leafs (because they always sucked ass and their fans are generally douches). I saw Steve Yzerman play when I was 8 years old, and have been hooked ever since. I now live in Chicago, but I don't like the Blackhawks (because they have always sucked ass and their fans are bandwagon douches). You can imagine the fun I've had being a Wings fan in Toronto and Chicago. As you can guess, I have pretty thick skin. Why "The Hole in the Door"? I feel it is symbolic of my love for the Red Wings (or my taking them too seriously, depending on your perspective). It represents the passion I have for the Wings; only my kids, family and closest friends matter more to me. "The Hole in the Door" was what happened after Talbot scored goal #2 in Game 7. I have not fixed that hole yet - partially because I am lazy, but mostly because I want to remember how much the Wings mean to me. But mostly its because I am lazy. |
