Introduction	This group is one of over 60 regional groups across Australia. It has existed in various forms since the 1980s. We fundraise locally and raise awareness of Oxfam's long-term development, emergency, advocacy and campaigning work. We are part of a Tasmanian network along with the Hobart Oxfam Group. Recent activities include Guest speakers; Campaigns in partnership with other local social justice groups; Strong links with the local Oxfam shop; Tasmania-wide fundraising on Button Day; Fundraising Band Nights, Open Gardens and Barbecues; and Information stalls and workshops including the 'Fairer World Festival'.
