| Introduction | I have suffered from migraines since I was 17 years old. In 2012, they started coming more frequently and were more debilitating. I ended up on Short Term Disability in January 2013, because I was suffering from such debilitating migraines that I was unable to work and unable to take care of my own family and motherly duties. Numerous treatments and medications have been tried, which have been unsuccessful. I have had adverse reactions from numerous meds and treatments. As time went on, I have progressively gotten worse instead of better. I have a dysfunctional bladder, so I have to self cath frequently to empty my bladder. My cognitive function has declined and often I completely blank out right in the middle of a sentence and have no clue what I was trying to say. My speech is slow, I stutter a lot and I get confused very easily. I have migrating numbness and I am in the process of being tested for MS. I have been told I have Sjorgren's Syndrome, which mimics MS, so I am trying to get into a Rheumatologist. I have Reynaud's Phenomenon and Gastroparesis. All of which are linked to neurological disorders. |
