| Introduction | My most recent books HOMEMADE Christmas and Homemade Knit Sew Crochetpublished by Collins in October 2012 carry on from the original Homemade about making beautiful things, co-authored with Elspeth Thompson (1962-2010). The beautiful hardback with it's covetable blue linen cover (May 09,) is sold out but the paperback is still available. Sadly Elspeth is no longer with us but her creativity, style,and amazing writing talent lives on through all four Homemade books and her wonderful publications. The two latest books include extracts from the originals and have lots of new ideas.They are the beginning of a series of small accessible books which will continue to show the reader how to make things, from sewing crochet and knitting to paper works and restoring old furniture. As a knitwear designer with over 25 years experience I have recently re-launched my mail order business Little Badger which specializes in hand knits and T shirts for children, in it's heyday it had a pioneering approach, using imagery previously not associated with childrenswear, and customers included many celebrities from Nicole Kidman to Bono the new website will launch in 2013. |
