Introduction	I have been a Justice of the Peace or Magistrate if you prefer, for 24 years and sit on a busy provincial bench somewhere in the north of England. In those 24 years I have held various offices within the Magistracy but for all that I am no better or worse than any other of the 20 odd thousand ordinary men and women who give freely, and un-paid, of their time and experience to sit in judgement upon their fellow man and who strive “to do right to all manner of folk, without fear or favour, affection or ill-will”.
Interests	Reading, Family History, Military History, Computers, Boats and Boating, English Canals.
Favorite Movies	The Lion in Winter, Cromwell, Zulu, Saving Private Ryan, The Cruel Sea, Downfall.
Favorite Music	1960's Folk Music, especially Joan Baez and Bob Dylan.
Favorite Books	This Perfect Day, Treasure Island, The Chrysalids, The Kraken Wakes.
