| Introduction | My handwoven necklaces are nature-inspired, incorporating shapes, colors and often objects found in nearby woods and fields. I discovered Needleweaving after reading "Beads and Threads—A New Technique for Fiber Jewelry" by Diane Fitzgerald and Helen Banes. Soon I was looking for fibers and beads to begin my first necklace. That first attempt was a pleasant surprise and led to more necklaces, lots of experimenting and eventually a website: DayidaDesigns.com.
